Sons of the American Legion (SAL)



The Sons of The American Legion (SAL) is a program of The American Legion established in 1933. It exists to honor the services and sacrifice of Legionnaires and to assist The American Legion with their programs and activities. MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY To become a member of the Sons of the American Legion (SAL), the applicant must be the son or grandson of someone former military and must provide evidence to support this, usually in the form of a DD FORM 214 or other discharge papers, or an obituary notice stating their term/branch of service.
