Auxiliary
MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY
Membership in the American Legion Auxiliary is limited to the mothers, wives,
daughters, sisters, granddaughters, great-granddaughters and grandmothers of
members of The American Legion, and to the mothers, wives, daughters, sisters,
granddaughters, great-granddaughters and grandmothers of all men and women
who were in the Armed Forces of the US during any of the qualifying periods.
A copy of the veteran’s DD FORM 214 or other discharge paper, or an obituary
notice stating their term of service, is required. If the Applicant’s last name is
different from the qualifying member, some form of identification, such as a birth
certificate, must be provided to establish family connection.
