American Legion Riders
Post 66 has a Riders chapter. (ALR 66) We have a healthy and growing
membership. If you belong to the Legion family, (Legionnaire,
Auxiliary or SAL) have a motorcycle in your household, or would like
to support legion functions through your love of motorcycles, then
we want you. You do not have to own a motorcycle to join the
American Legion Riders Post 66.
To join the Riders you must fill out an application (located in the
post lobby) and pay an annual dues of $20. Any questions concerning
membership contact Steve Solari (480-438-0981)
We are governed by a constitution/by-laws. Our meetings are on the
1st Tuesday of the month @ 6:30 PM (no meetings in June, July, or
August). Purpose of our ALR chapter is to:
(a) to promote motorcycle safety programs;
(b) to provide a social atmosphere for Post 66 motorcycle riders;
(c) to support charitable causes with in the American Legion
parameters;
(d) to encourage participation in Patriot Guard Rider activities and
funerals honoring fallen veterans;
(e) to support the functions of American Legion Post 66;
We are the official "Soiled Flag Disposal Team." If you have flags
that are no longer serviceable, place them in the wooden bin just
outside the Legion Office.
NOTE
The American Legion Riders are not a "biker gang or club". We are
Patriotic Americans who belong to the American Legion Family, and
enjoy motorcycles.
